Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actor born January 31, 1974. She's most famous for her role as Bo on the Showcase television series Lost Girl. Silk is born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk, and Peter Silk are parents of Silk. Ilkay is a playwright and director. She teaches the art of the art of drama on the drama department at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. One of Anna's first memories are of attending rehearsals for plays and watching her mom work. Silk was the subject of several commercials while she was still a kid. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts with a major in Theater from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was engaged in two of the early stage productions, including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk moved from Toronto on November 29, 1999, and moved to Los Angeles California to pursue her career as an actor. Seth Cooperman was her future wife when she was introduced to him at an actor's workshop held in Los Angeles. The couple was engaged the year 2009 and wed during a civil ceremony December of the same year. Following her conversion to Judaism and they were married again in an Jewish ceremony on 10 April 2011. The ceremony was held in Fredericton. Silk born a son with the name of Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th 2013. Levi Aaron was her second son born on 13 May 2016. Silk's work on television includes playing the character of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica for which she earned an Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. The year 2009 saw her cast as the main character Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk fell pregnant while shooting the season three finale. The following day, on January 6, 2013, she confirmed this for viewers to watch the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special. Silk tweeted on June 20th that she was ready to return to work. The 4th of June 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially revealed the launch of production for the fourth season. CNN has ranked Bo's performance with Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most popular couples on TV ever. E! Magazine also classified it as the top TV couple of the year 2013.
